The latest collection from Liberty Art Fabrics Interiors reflects the rich prose of Frances Hodgson Burnett 1911 novel, The Secret Garden and the wild beauty of nature. The collection offers vintage velvets, ramie voiles, cotton linens, cotton satins and linen silks. Absolutely beautiful...

Substantial curved back sprung chair totally reupholstered

There were 13 springs in the back rest and 12 in the seat! I used rubberised hair for this chair.

About Me

My photo
Cathy Lepinay
It all started with the love for antiques markets and fairs, the thrill of finding original, interesting tired chairs and bring them back to use.... Then the CASS, London Metropolitan University, supported by the Worshipful Company of Upholders, taught me the skills of traditional and modern upholstery and I was awarded a prize on my first year for the traditional upholstery of a Victorian armchair. Now my house being filled with chairs, my business set up and the word of mouth spreading, I take pride in receiving client's pieces and enjoying their satisfaction in seeing them transformed wether being a recover or a full reupholstery. My clients seem to appreciate my help to source fabric, commenting on my understanding of their style, getting it right according to their interior, where the piece will be placed and used...I did manage to convince one client to repaint their living room walls and change their cushions for the room, a little bit of interior decoration there too! The addiction to chairs comes with the love for fabric... I upholster in North West London, have a look at www.stapleandtack.com to see my previous projects and fabric favourites.
