A chair with a story...

Napoleon III armchair in for a full reupholstery. I love when you discover an original label from the maker, here Monsieur Chatret. Although it mentions Chateauroux, the label has an address in Le Marais, Paris, so Mr Chatret might be the client. At this address, 35 rue des Francs Bourgeois, is the Hotel de Coulanges built in 1607. The fabric chosen for this chair is just stunning, an amazing print on velvet by Osborne&Little...

And relax...

Beautiful chaise longue fully reupholstered and back home...Fabric is by Colefax and Fowler.

New fabric for the seat and back cushions of a couple of mid century armchairs, blue velvet working well with the wood tone...and the cushion!

Back home...

Always a little proud to see pieces back to life in their home. Beautiful photo by the owner!
