And this is it...

Really pleased with the result, I think that colour is amazing with those legs! I used a beautiful velvet from Christian Lacroix Atelier Fabrics collection for Designers Guild in Monceau Denim. I stripped the chair totally, gave it new elastic webbing and upholstery, changed the inner back design slightly, inspired by SCP's Oscar sofa.
And the good news is that it is for sale at £685!

Last Summer...

Last Summer, I walked past that chair in a fair and fell in love with its legs! Although my house definitely doesn't need an extra armchair, I just couldn't resist buying it with straight away that colour in mind to go with the legs...That project took me a while to complete as it had to be done in between clients' work but that's it!

Promising...

There wasn't much left of this German armchair but its shape looked very promising! Completely stripped and reupholstered with foam, I then used Marvic Textiles in Titian Bracken which I love as it kept the vintage feel and Linwood Omega in Leaf for its cushion.
G Plan chairs which had become flat due to the foam reduced to dust reupholstered and recovered, banquette cushions made up too in matching blue fabric by Marvic Textiles.

Large armchair coming for a recover and getting a little bit more...

When they bought this large comfy armchair, its owners had a clear vision for its transformation. The top fabric was in a tired condition and the back was upholstered in foam which was reduced to near dust. So I stripped it and gave the back some hessian, rubberised hair and cotton felt. Nearly finished!

Here it is!

Here is the chaise longue previously upholstered in leather now covered in a beautiful velvet from Designers Guild in Cranberry colour from their Varese range. The chaise didn't  get a full reupholstery, just a new fabric cover. The foam was slightly tired but ok to last for a long while, it only made the tailoring of the cover a bit more difficult as it did not have any sharp foam edges anymore. I also added some piping around the seams to give it some definition and padded, top stitched the seat cushion. I think it looks terrific!

Work in progress...

I couldn't resist buying this chair reminding me of some of Gio Ponti's armchairs (ok, maybe it's just the legs!). Its black original vinyl will be replaced by teal velvet from Designers Guild which I think suits the brass legs quite well. It will be for sale at £650.

Gorgeous House of Hackney swivel chair for sale!

I bought this chair because I loved its shape and swivel mechanism, you can see the wheel under the seat. Although I really like a well used leather chair, this one was unfortunately a bit too far used so I chose a House of Hackney velvet for it...a very successful print at Queens Park Day! This chair is for sale at £600.

Queens Park Day 2016

First time at Queens Park day for Staple and Tack! Really enjoyed the day, showing my work, discussing chairs with people...amazing how many of you need a bit of upholstery! Good news!!

You might have seen the cocktail chair I had for sale in this beautiful leafy print by Christian Lacroix for Designers Guild (Soft Jardin Exo'Chic). Here are two feather cushions 50cmX50cm with a black and white back. Price £50 each.
